After completing his first residency he moved to Houston, with his wife, Royce, for Specialty Residency in Periodontics/Periodontal Plastic Surgery and Implantology, including a Masters of Dentistry, where he currently attends the University of Texas Health and Science Center, Dept. of Periodontics. He has been serving the community, as a general dentist, throughout the Houston metro area while in residency, utilizing advanced and specialty knowledge and skills. He has also held leadership positions in multiple dental organizations such as Student National
Dental Association, both national and local, and Hispanic Dental Association. He is a current member of the American Dental Association, and American Academy of Periodontics.

Dr. Nelson is vibrant, welcoming, and knowledgeable, and remains motivated in providing the highest quality treatment available for his patients.

Maria is our amazing front desk. She is the first smile that you will see when entering our office! With her 10+ years of experience in the dental field, she will be able to help you with everything from scheduling your appointment to all your billing questions.

She enjoys spending time with her very cool son, Anthony a.k.a. Spiderman Jr., and her awesome husband, Nicolas. On her off days, she is a part-time photographer and even serves as the lead photographer for her church.

Her favorite hobby is dancing. If you’re lucky, you’ll catch her doing her fabulous Zumba moves down the URBN Dental hallway!

Julia’s hard work does not stop at the office. She recently obtained her Master’s in Healthcare Management. On her leisure time (whenever that is), she enjoys spending time with her husband, traveling, and capturing the moment & scenery. Honestly, her husband and her look like they belong on the cover of a romantic novel, a beautiful couple inside & out.

When she is not at the office, Angela should probably take a nap but doesn’t. Angela and her fiancé like to stay active. She scuba dives, hikes, teaches a fitness class, and volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters. Angela would like to note that she sounds a lot cooler than she actually is.

She has been in the dental field for quite some time now and plans to be in it for a very long time as dentistry is her passion.

She loves exploring the outdoors and exploring outside of Houston. She is definitely a sea water soul - give her any excuse to be at the beach and she will be there! In her spare time, she loves to cook, especially culturally diverse foods.

Since graduating from Everest Institute 4 years ago, Marily has been a practicing dental assistant. She is a proactive and hardworking individual, who is always ready to learn more . What she loves the most about dentistry is educating patients on how to achieve and maintain a healthy mouth.  Marily enjoys the positive atmosphere at URBN Dental and the great communication between our team and patients. When Marily is not at the office, she likes spending time with her twins, watching scary movies, going to the beach, and trying all kinds of food, except NO ONIONS! 

Kimberly  is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston. She thrives to give her patients the best dental visit with her positive attitude and qualified skills. Patients rave about her gentle hands during their dental hygiene cleanings. Kimberly is a Dental Hygienist at URBN Dental; the practice offers high-tech equipment and tools to help patients achieve outstanding dental health.

Outside of Dentistry, Kimberly is obsessed with Star Wars and her dog, Dre. Ask her about either...You'll make her day! She is also part of the fitness group, OrangeTheory!

Jennifer is one of our awesome Dental Assistants at URBN Dental Uptown. She has been in the dental field for 7 years and counting. With URBN Dental being your neighborhood Houston Dental Office, Jennifer's versatile experience allows her to work with a variety of patients from children to cosmetic.

Being a Houston "H-TOWN" Native, Jennifer is a HUGE Astros and Rockets fan! She is a proud baseball mom who enjoys spending time with her family and friends on her days off. Oh, she is also the Snack Queen. Don't worry! She does make sure she flosses afterward.

Kimberly graduated from Academy for Dental Assisting in 2016. She has built up and diversified her dental experience through temping and working with a wide variety of dentists. She brings this vast experience to assist and care for the patients at URBN Dental Uptown, a Houston dental office that is open on Saturdays.

Kimberly was born in Honduras and raised in Houston. She is an amateur photographer that is on her path to becoming a dental hygienist. Kimberly loves trying the diverse restaurants that Houston has to offer and taking what she tried and incorporating it in her cooking. She recently made some BOMB chili...you should ask her for the recipe.
